Wow, it's been a while since I made it back to this online place to post. A lot has happened. A. Lot. Has. Happened. Yeah, it's been that dramatic. Ever since I left Avignon, I haven't stayed in one place for more than a day or two. I checked out Nice and decided it was a dump after having my heart broken by a careless person whose name I won't even mention here. Though the houses were all neat colors and the beach was the most perfect blue I had ever seen, it was hollow and horrible for me once my heart was in pieces. I left France for Switzerland shortly afterward and spent a very many happy days bouncing around the Alps. I loved it so much I considered looking into property records and finding out what an apartment might go for in Zurich or Bern. Well, it's way more than I had to spend then or even now. Switzerland drained my bank account and that's for sure, but it's why I'm now on the happy road to Rome, getting ready to spend a few days relaxing in the Italian sunshine. It's still my goal to find a person worth sharing my travels with but, as you can probably tell, it's been a struggle so far. Oh well, maybe I'll find them in Rome!

I am in beautiful Avignon, in the south of France! What a lovely place this is. I decided to reward myself for my excellent people search skills with a random vacation. Now I'm here, touring the Palace of the Popes, walking down the Rhone, enjoying lots of cheese and sandwiches. I might never leave. This place just sparkles! Must be magic. I would love to find people to share this experience with. Sadly, there aren't many hotels here and the one I booked is single room only. I've been hitting the bars, but there's just American tourists. God, how did they find out about Avignon? Oh well, I know if I keep looking it'll be easy to find a person who will enjoy this beautiful city with me. I think I'm off to Nice next to enjoy the sunshine and lay on the beach, even if it is full of rocks. If I can figure it out maybe I'll even post pictures from my trip. In the meantime, this rant to the new Weezer video is priceless especially if you used to like Weezer (like me! ugh!) and are now ashamed of it. Haha, no one here knows I'm a closet Weezer fan but maybe that's why I haven't found anyone to travel with? There's got to be someone out there...

Sorry I haven't updated in ages. Can you guess why? You betcha! School! Ugh, it's so tough. Man, almost makes me nostalgic for being a shiftless, unemployed layabout. Not quite, but almost. Really, in the grand scheme of things, I can't complain. "Man, I was so busy last week, I had to read books for 30 hours!" See how whiny that sounds? So many of my college friends would give their two front teeth just to be able to do that. For free even. I'm just greedy. I met this person who's doing this whole project on adoption and identity, so he's been interviewing a lot of adoptees, and I told him all about how person lookup could help parents and children reunite. He seemed really interested. Not sure why he needs to find people, but I said that if he ever needed help, I know all about how to search for people. All the way, I'm bringing on People Search USA!

Hello! I am back! I had a lovely holiday with Sarah, and a great break from school. It was so nice to not have to do anything for two weeks. I slept in and lounged around a lot, and as nice as that was, I was ready to get back into the swing of things. I'm totally a creature of habit and love my routine. It's hard for me to break out of. Sarah often makes fun of me for this, but it's who I am! She is much more outgoing and free spirited than me. But I think that's why we work, we are really different, but in a way that complements each other. But even though we are fundamentally different, we both like the same things. We like the same movies, have the same sense of humor, and both love to people search on the weekends to find old friends. Sarah is really good at doing a person lookup and can always figure out another way to find a person if one way, or one site doesn't help her out. She's a lot more patient than I am. I love instant gratification and instant results. She even showed me a cool site called Bebo, which an awesome social network her best friend in the UK loves. It's apparently really popular there. Sarah spent a year abroad in undergrad, so she has a lot of friends in the UK, whom she keeps in contact with through it. Anyways, I have some homework to do, as the semester started up again. Be back soon.

So, Sarah and I are doing really well, which I am happy to report. We are settling into our new place and adjusting to a new city. These days we really like exploring the city and trying new restaurants. We're committed to becoming natives as quickly as possible. It doesn't quite feel like home yet, but it's getting there. Sarah and I are going to get our first Christmas tree together next week, so that should help I think. It's getting cold here, and as much as I love the holiday season, I miss summer! My schooling is kicking my behind! Getting a PH.D is no easy feat. But besides all that, I still like to sit down for a good old person search. I just like finding people, which is a very nice skill to have when you have just moved to a new city. Sarah and are constantly trying to meet new people and make new friends. Sarah says I'll never make new friends with the manners I have, so she sent me this link to PremiumHowtoGuides.com-Proper Dining Etiquette, which I didn't find very funny. She of course was rolling on the floor laughing. Anyways, I gotta go buy new Christmas lights!

Wow. So much has changed since my last post, I almost feel like a stranger might as well have been writing it. First off and most importantly, I live in another state now than I did during my last post! I got a phenomenal job offer at a school that would pay for my Ph.D. while I work there, but I had to take the job before school started... which it turned out was three days later. So... I hopped on a plane and went! Sarah has been AMAZING about the whole thing. She is still back there, and helped rent out my apartment, as well as helped me pack up and ship all my stuff to my new home on weekends. Speaking of which, I know it's really soon, but soon it's going to be OUR new home. Yes, she's moving out here too! She said she was ready for a change of pace too, and was renting month to month so... she just decided to go for it with me. It's so awesome. I can't even describe to you how awesome it is. In other news, I have been doing a lot of people searching on all my new coworkers (making sure I made a good decision) and landlord too. Happily, everyone and everything looks kosher so far. I'm the kind of guy who likes to plan quite a bit, but this was just too good of an opportunity to turn down. Anyway, enough about me! Even with all that's been going on I have two new people search sites for you to check out. Sarah actually found them (she's a people searching natural). The first one is about people finding, and the second one is about good old basic people search. In closing, I want to leave you with this new list I just read last weekend from GiantLists.com. It's about the worst places to find love... which, of course, I don't have to worry about anymore, but can still laugh at with the best of them.
